Far East Movement to zespół electro hop wywodzący się z Los Angeles. Jego członkowie: Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif i DJ Virman reprezentują różne kultury – japońską, chińską, koreańską I filipińską i wszyscy należą do wielkiej społeczności azjatycko-amerykańskiej.Poprzednie lata działalności zespołu to wiele koncertów m.in. z Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Sean Paul, New Boyz, Pitbull. Byli także supportem koncertów Robyn i Kelis, a także poprzedzali występy Lady Gagi podczas jej The Monster Ball Tour w Japonii. W 2010 roku Far East Movement podpisali kontrakt z Cherrytree/Interscope Records, co zaowocowało wydaniem pod koniec października 2010 roku ich debiutanckiego albumu „Free Wired“.
