Żeńska grupa Bananarama szalała na listach przebojów w latach 80., a do jej hitów tańczono na imprezach na całym świecie. Kilkanaście najsłynniejszych piosenek angielskiej grupy zebrano blisko 30 lat temu na kompilacji o wymownym tytule "The Greatest Hits Collection". Teraz składanka ukazuje się w specjalnej, poszerzonej edycji. Wieść o wznowieniu kompilacji zbiegła się z informacją o tym, że oryginalne członkinie Bananarama, Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward i Siobhan Fahey planują światową trasę koncertową. "The Greatest Hits Collection", składającą się z 21 hitów tria z lat 1981-88, wzbogacono z tej okazji o drugi dysk, na którym zapisano 12 remiksów, pochodzących oryginalnie z 12-calowych płytek. Jest wśród nich oczywiście doskonały, dyskotekowy cover "Venus" z repertuaru holenderskiej formacji Shocking Blue, jak i "Cruel Summer". Całości dopełnia 20-stronicowa książeczka z archiwalnymi zdjęciami, komentarzami wokalistek o piosenkach oraz odręcznie napisaną notkę. Wznowienie również zdobi zdjęcie na okładce, wykonane przez legendarnego fotografa Herba Rittsa. Z piosenką "Robert De Niro's Waiting" wiąże się ciekawa historia, którą przypomina Siobhan Fahey: "Pierwotnie ten utwór miał nazywać się "Al Pacino's Waiting", ale zmieniłyśmy tytuł. Robert De Niro zadzwonił do nas, kiedy piosenka już się ukazała. Nie mogłyśmy w to uwierzyć!". Bananarama zdobyła największą sławę, współpracując z producencką trójką Stock Aitken, Waterman.
