"Może to banał, ale muzyka francuska dwóch ostatnich stuleci kojarzy mi się ze specyficznymi, nieco zamglonymi pejzażami, stonowanymi kolorami oraz wytwornością. Żadnych rozpasanych, nieprzewidywalnych grzmotów i pohukiwań, szaleńczych, nieokiełznanych żywiołów. Jeśli już któryś z kompozytorów tracił równowagę (a przecież zdarzało się to nieraz), zawsze potrafił tę erupcję namiętności skierować do wewnątrz. Tak, by była słyszalna tylko dla wybranych". "Myślenie kolorem, poszczególnymi instrumentami, łączenie różnych barw – to cechy charakterystyczne dla muzyki francuskiej od czasów baroku. Ale to w XIX wieku zaczęło się wykluwać brzmienie, które dziś tak chętnie określamy, w dużym uproszczeniu, mianem francuskiego. Wielki wpływ odegrało malarstwo i przenikanie się sztuk. Bliskie kontakty malarzy i muzyków. Stąd tak popularne określenie „impresjonizm”, które początkowo łączono wyłącznie z twórczością Claude’a Debussy’ego. Najlepiej wyłożyła to Danuta Gwizdalanka: „O przeniesieniu na muzykę Debussy’ego pojęcia z malarstwa zadecydowało jej oryginalne, nieznane wcześniej brzmienie, chciałoby się rzec – pastelowe i czyste jak kolory na obrazach impresjonistów. (...) W wykorzystywaniu pojedynczych brzmień dopatrzono się podobieństwa do techniki malarskiej impresjonistów, którzy nie łączyli pigmentów na palecie tak, jak to czynili ich poprzednicy, lecz kładli na płótno punkty czystego koloru”. "A zatem, idąc tym tropem, muzyka czysta, pastelowa, niedookreślona, pozostawiająca miejsce na własne interpretacje i dopowiedzenia, zachowująca swoje tajemnice". Haino Keiji - członkiem Fushitsusha, jednym z najbardziej zagadkowych muzyków Japonii zadziwiają wyobraźnią muzyczną, która przywołując nastrój francuskiego impresjonizmu w muzyce (Erik Satie) w bardzo klasycyzującym składzie (akordeon, skrzypce, klarnet, fortepian i gitara) przedstawiają projekt napędzany iście rockową energią. Wpływ Haino Keiji's na muzykę światową jest o wiele bardziej zróżnicowany niż się to zdaję wielu ludziom. Bardzo dobry muzyk, który słuchał wszystkiego: od utworów Scarlattiego do Patcha, Blood Ulmera i Django, Munir Bachira i Vassilisa Tsitsanisa. Jego muzyka jest intensywna i brutalnie szczera. Na płycie "Utsuho" odcisnął mocne, bardzo twórcze piętno...”.
