Po wydaniu debiutu "Overcast!" Atmosphere wciąż chcieli tworzyć nową muzykę. Slug i Ant nie tracąc czasu, szybko zabrali się do pracy i nagrali "Headshots: Se7en" - wydawnictwo, które stało się klasykiem w ich dyskografii. Materiał zarejestrowany został między 1997 a 1999 rokiem i oryginalnie ukazał się tylko na kasecie jako dodatek do serii wydawniczej "Headshots" wytwórni Rhymesayers. Ponieważ nakład każdej części był ograniczony, "Headshots" szybko stało się kolekcjonerskim rarytasem. Na początku XXI wieku, kasety można było kupić na eBayu po 100 dolarów za sztukę. "Headshots: Se7en" zawierało 21 utworów przygotowanych wyłącznie przez Atmosphere. Z miejsca wiadomo było, że Atmosphere poszli na całość. Slug eksperymentował z rytmem, przybierając jednocześnie rozmaite wcielenia, z kolei Ant proponował bardziej kolorowe instrumentalne tła. Nic dziwnego, że "Headshots: Se7en" pomogło rozpędzić karierę duetu.
