Album „Traveling On” EPka The Decemberists pojawił się 21 grudnia nakładem Rough Trade. The Decemberists nie należą do tych, którzy lubią spoczywać na laurach. Dopiero co skończyli trasę Your Girl/Your Ghost, promującą ich ósmy album „I'll Be Your Girl” (zobacz), który ukazał się w marcu tego roku. Jednak zespół nie udaje się na zasłużony odpoczynek i zanim przyjdzie czas na sjestę, postanowili ogłosić wydanie EP-ki „Traveling On”.  W sieci pojawił się utwór tytułowy. Na płycie znajdzie się dwadzieścia jeden minut muzyki, która powstała podczas sesji „I'll Be Your Girl”, ale ostatecznie nie trafiła na album. Złożyły się na nią pięć piosenek.
