W czerwcu 2016r. Ritchie Blackmore powrócił na rockową scenę muzyczną występując z zespołem Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow na 3 koncertach w Europie – dwa z nich odbyły się w Niemczech, a jeden w Wielkiej Brytanii. "Live In Birmingham 2016" jest dwupłytowym zapisem koncertu jaki odbył się oczywiście w Birmingham, na którym Blackmore po raz kolejny zaprezentował swój gitarowy geniusz. Na wydawnictwo trafił cały koncert z Birmingham, na którym można było usłyszeć zarówno nagrania z repertuaru Deep Purple jak i Rainbow. Niesamowita setlista tego występu zawiera takie utwory jak choćby "Soldier Of Fortune" czy "Burn", których nie można było usłyszeć na niemieckich scenach, a także "Catch The Rainbow", "Mistreated", "Since You Been Gone", "Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll", "Black Night", "Spotlight Kid", "Smoke On The Water", "Stargazer", "Perfect Strangers" i wiele więcej! Niemieckie koncerty grupy zostały wydane w listopadzie 2016r. w wersji video jako "Memories In Rock".
