Ta nadzwyczajna grupa angielskich wokalistów została założona 1968 roku i za rok będzie obchodziła 50-lecie powstania. Wydanie zatytułowane "The Sound of the King's Singers" zawiera trzy z najbardziej znanych albumów grupy. Absolutnie każdy gatunek muzyczny w wykonaniu popularnych King’s Singersów tchnie świeżością i jest śpiewany jasnym, krystalicznie czystym wokalnie brzmieniem. W kolekcji znajdziemy m.in. wesołe madrygały z Włoch, Francji, Anglii i Niemiec, które grupa nagrała w 1984 roku podczas ich Madrigal History Tour. Grupa współpracowała wtedy z zespołem instrumentalnym Consort of Musicke prowadzonym przez Anthony Rooley'a i do dziś uważana jest za perełkę muzyki dawnej. Kontrastuje to z kolejnym wielkim osiągnięciem sekstetu The King’s Singers z 1985 – interpretacjami muzycznych i filmowych hitów z Comedian Harmonists, które stanowią hołd dla legendarnego niemieckiego sekstetu wokalnego z lat 30. XX wieku. Z kolei album "America" z 1989 roku jest ukłonem w stronę wspaniałych amerykańskich piosenek pop śpiewanych przez Paula Simona, Randy Newmana i Jimmy Weba, z wyszukanymi opracowaniami Davida Cullena, które zostały specjalnie napisane dla King’s Singers i English Chamber Orchestra pod kierunkiem Carla Davisa.
