„Cyclone” jest jedenastym albumem niemieckiej grupy elektronicznej Tangerine Dream wydany ponownie w 2019 roku, zremasterowany w stereo - z oryginalnych taśm-matek pierwszej generacji. Dodano 2 utwory bonusowe zremiksowane przez lidera Porcupine Tree Stevena Wilsona. To piękny i innowacyjny album Tangerine Dream. Głos Joliffe'a stał się na „Cyclone” jeszcze jednym z instrumentów Tangerine Dream  Skład zespołu:  Drums, Percussion [Electronic], Cymbal, Gong [Burma Gong Set] – Klaus Krieger* Remastered By – Ben Wiseman (tracks: 1 to 3) Synthesizer, Keyboards, Guitar, Acoustic Guitar – Edgar Froese Vocals, Bass Flute, Alto Flute, Concert Flute [C-Flute], Piccolo Flute [Piccolo], Cor Anglais, Bass Clarinet, Clavinet [Hohner Clavinet], Synthesizer [Elka String Synthesizer, Roland System 100 Synthesizer], Grand Piano, Electric Piano [Fender Rhodes], Tenor Horn, Horn [Soprano], Lyricon [Lyricon By Computone] – Steve Jolliffe   Tracklista:  1.   Among Schumann’s inspired late chamber works is a collection of music for more unusual instruments, composed in a concentrated flurry of creativity between 1849 and 1853 and written specifically for particular players, and it is to these exquisite short works that the world-famous Nash Ensemble turns its impeccable collective musicianship. While Schumann modelled his music specifically to the timbres of the instruments he wrote for—piano, violin, horn, clarinet and oboe—he also arranged these pieces for alternative instruments with an eye to maximizing sales. Here, however, the soloists from The Nash Ensemble present the works in their original scoring in what are bound to be definitive performances—the delicious Fantasiestücke for clarinet, and the fiery and lyrical Märchenbilder, which feature star British viola player Lawrence Power. Other delights include the Adagio and Allegro for horn, a brilliant showpiece, the Violin Sonata No 1, Drei Romanzen for oboe and piano and the Märchenerzählungen for clarinet, viola and piano.

Shirley towarzyszyli Charles Ables (kontrabas) i Steve Williams (instrumenty perkusyjne). Sesja trwała całą noc. Masteringu pod kątem płyty analogowej dokonało studio Infrasonic Mastering. Along with the two major works for the unusual combination of horn, violin and piano, this disc also brings together a rather incongruous pair of composers: Johannes Brahms, generally regarded as the great traditionalist of the late 19th century, and György Ligeti, born 90 years after Brahms, and one of the most innovative and progressive figures of his time. Why Brahms chose to compose for this previously unheard-of combination of instruments is not known – what we do know is that he himself played the horn in his youth, and that it had also been a principal instrument of his father. It is also generally recognized that although the inspiration for the piece came to him in 1864, the death of his mother the following year had a great impact on the piece, and especially on the elegiac third movement, Adagio mesto (‘sad’), possibly one of Brahms’s most intimate and heart-felt slow movements. Ligeti composed his trio to be performed during the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Brahms’ birth and gave it the subtitle ‘Hommage à Brahms’, but also commented that ‘the only thing reminiscent of Brahms is perhaps a certain smilingly conservative comportment – with distinctly ironic distance’. There are nevertheless points of similarity – both works are in four movements, for instance, and Ligeti too includes a slow movement, Lamento, of an emotional expressivity unusual for this composer. The two trios frame a substantial, newly composed piece for horn solo written by Kalevi Aho with the present recording in mind. Marie-Luise Neunecker, who performs it and the demanding horn parts of the trios, needs no further introduction: acclaimed as a chamber musician as well as soloist it was for her that György Ligeti wrote one of his last works, the Hamburg Concerto for solo horn and chamber orchestra. On this disc she is in the company of the eminent musicians Antje Weithaas and Silke Avenhaus, both appearing for the first time on the BIS label.
