The Riddimzz powstał w 2007 roku we Wrocławiu - to nowy projekt Piotra „Zwierza” Stanclika, basisty legendarnych składów polskiej sceny reggae - Stage of Unity, Tumbao oraz Tumbao Riddim Band. W nowym zespole grają muzycy od dawna tworzący polską scenę reggae, znani z udziału w takich projektach jak Tumbao Riddim Band, Riddim Bandits, Lion Vibration. Po krótkim czasie przygotowań zespół zadebiutował we wrocławskiej Hali Stulecia jako backing band dla kilku z najlepszych wokalistów polskiej sceny reggae - Bob One, Junior Stress, Bas Tajpan czy Mesajah, poprzedzając występ jamajskiej legendy sceny reggae Sizzli Kalonji.Aktualnie zespół gra z niemiecką wokalistką Marlene Johnson, znaną ze wpółpracy z austriackim House Of Riddim oraz brytyjską gwiazdą Dub - ZION TRAIN (w 2007 użyczyła swego głosu na albumie „Live As One”) i wielu koncertów w Polsce, Szwajcarii, Austrii i Niemczech. W maju 2008 roku został wydany jej debiutancki album „My Type O’Smoove”, wyprodukowany przez House Of Riddim i wydany przez VelocitySounds Rec.Spotkanie dwóch żywiołów zawsze wyzwala potężną energię. Tak też się stało w przypadku współpracy dwóch muzycznych osobowości: Marlene Johnson i kolektywu The Riddmzz. Melanż namiętnego soulowego głosu z ogniem żywych instrumentów zrodził muzykę skradającą się jak dzika kocica, muzykę, która oplątuje i wdziera się w samo sedno. Ten żywioł został, na ile to możliwe, okiełznany w utworach zmieszczonych w najnowszym wydawnictwie p.t. „TRUTH”.Na polskiej scenie nieczęsto słyszy się tak wiarygodne głosy, jak ten którym obdarzona jest Marlene Johnson. Marlene świetnie czuje się w konwencji roots reggae/dancehall, w każdej sekundzie jej wokalu słychać naturalność i prawdę nieosiągalną dla wielu wokalistek, a także muzyczne korzenie sięgające bluesa, jamajskiego reggae i afrykańskiego etnoKooperacja tylu indywidualności zaowocowała muzyką klimatyczną, niemal nastrojową, choć nie stroniącą od dynamicznych, funkowych wycieczek.Materiał został nagrany i wyprodukowany w studiu HaKeYoQ i FONOPLASTYKON we Wrocławiu. Nad mixem czuwał Marcin Bors ze Studia Fonoplastykon, w którym powstawały albumy takich zespołów jak: HEY, Gaba Kulka, Czesław Śpiewa, Myslowitz, Lao Che.
