A challenging and adaptable composition, 'Sanctuary' is performed by percussionist Steven Schick and his band Red Fish Blue Fish. Three different versions of the performance are available on the release: a studio version filmed to maximise sound and visual quality for viewers, a complete live performance from Washington DC's National Gallery of Art and excerpts from a special outdoor performance at The Salk Institute in La Jolla, Calif.
