Sześć zarejestrowanych utworów publikowanych jest po raz pierwszy.Urodzony w 1933 roku w Colorado pianista naukę rozpoczął w wieku 5 lat pod kierunkiem swojej matki. W 1950 roku podjął naukę pod kierunkiem Rosiny Lhévinne w słynnej nowojorskiej Juilliard School. Jest zwycięzcą Leventritt Competition z 1955 roku, a rok później odbył się jego debiut z orkiestrą Filharmonii Nowojorskiej. Browning prowadził bogate i intensywne życie koncertowe (ponad 100 koncertów rocznie). W latach 70-tych postanowił nieco zmniejszyć ich ilość, by powrócić w latach 90tych.
