  In January 1849, while conducting a variety of Italian operas at 'the smaller theatre scene' in Stockholm for the Vincenzo Galli opera company, Jacopo Foroni started his work on the opera build on Cristina, queen of Sweden. This was primarily to introduce himself to Swedish audiences, but was also a tribute to the monarch who had abdicated, converted to Catholicism, and left her homeland for Italy. The opera is about Queen Cristina's abdication and tells the story in five scenes (Love, Marriage, Conspiracy, The Lost dream, Abdication). In true 19th century fashion the cause of the abdication was not her conversion to catholicism but her love of Magnus Gabriele and the future King Carl Gustav.

Album polskiego pianisty młodego pokolenia, mieszkającego na stałe w Japonii – Ignacego Lisieckiego. Ignacy Lisiecki został wyróżniony w 2011 roku dyplomem polskiego Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego za wybitne dokonania na rzecz szerzenia polskiej kultury na świecie.  Studiował fortepian na Uniwersytecie Muzycznym im Chopina w Warszawie, w Hochschule Fur Musik Und Theater w Hanowerze oraz dyrygenturę na Tokyo University Of Arts. W listopadzie 2012 zadebiutował w Tokyo Opera City, jednym z ważniejszych centrów muzycznych świata. Od tego czasu regularnie występuje z tak znanymi zespołami jak Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, a także dając recitale m.in. w Sumida Triphony Hall i Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. W 2017 roku Lisiecki wystąpił w popularnym japońskim programie TV Asahi poświęconym muzyce klasycznej ”Daimei No Nai Ongakukai" wraz z japońskim skrzypkiem Kazuki Sawa. Album zawiera wybór dzieł bliskich sercu artysty, a związanych z tematem „przemijania”. „Łabędzi śpiew” odnosi się powszechnie do dzieł muzycznych bądź literackich, które zostały stworzone przez twórców u schyłku ich życia.
