Four renowned artists combine to create a unique cultural fusion. Moroccan-Flemish dancer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui joins forces with leading dancer and choreographer Akram Khan, best known for developing his contemporary version of the Indian classic Kathak style. Award winning composer Nitin Sawhney adds his own specially commissioned score, and Turner Prize-winning sculptor Antony Gormley contributes two life-size casts of the dancers to complete the collaboration.

  Handel arrived in Hamburg in 1703, aged eighteen. He spent four years in the city and wrote several works for the town’s opera house. Hamburg opera was a rather eclectic beast at the time, drawing on Italian and French language and instrumental style alongside the native German.
