Feature length documentary charting the career of the influential 1970s rock band, Mott the Hoople. Perhaps best known for their collaboration with David Bowie, resulting in the anthemic song 'All the Young Dudes', Mott the Hoople reunited in October 2009 for a few special anniversary concerts. As well as exclusive footage of the gigs, this documentary makes use of archive footage, interviews with the band members and contributions from such fans of the band as Mick Jones and Roger Taylor to tell their story.

Johann Sebastian Bach’s motets number among his most sophisticated works. In order to do justice to the challenging, virtuoso style of the motets, Trinity Baroque, under the direction of Julian Podger, performs them with just one voice on a part. This accentuates the filigree, transparent, and yet powerful polyphonic structure of the motets. Trinity Baroque traveled to Saxony to record Bach’s motets – in the Wenzelskirche, Naumburg, where in 1746 Bach inaugurated and later oversaw the maintenance of the Hildebrandt organ. The historic venue inspired a further idea: besides the soloistic interpretation of the voice parts, the bass line is tonally emphasized by this “Bach” organ (and a violone) – the clearly perceptible sound of the organ blends harmoniously into the tonal fabric of the voice parts, lending this recording a unique character.

The Brabant Ensemble, better known for uncovering works by forgotten composers such as Dominique de Phinot, turns to a giant of the Renaissance—perhaps the most celebrated name of the period. Yet within Palestrina’s huge output there are many hidden gems, lacking both recordings and modern performing editions, and it is from among these that the ensemble’s director Stephen Rice has chosen the repertoire for this album. A Mass—Missa Ad coenam Agni, from Palestrina’s first book of Mass-settings—is included, plus antiphons, motets and five Eastertide Offertories. Each work is, as Stephen Rice states in his typically informative booklet notes, ‘a finely crafted addition to the liturgy’.The Brabant Ensemble brings a matchless blend of musicianship, scholarship and sensitive singing to this glorious music.

King Tubby, właśc. Osbourne Ruddock (ur. 28 stycznia 1941 w Kingston, zm. 6 lutego 1989 w Kingston) – jamajski inżynier dźwięku i producent muzyczny, obok Lee Perry'ego współtwórca techniki muzycznej dub. W 1968 założył swój pierwszy sound system – Tubby's Home Town HiFi i nawiązał współpracę z cenionym producentem Duke'm Reidem. W 1971 dokonał przełomowych nagrań, wykorzystując – jako jeden z pierwszych producentów na świecie – technikę remiksu. Przetwarzał nagrania w sposób nowatorski, używając konsolety jako instrumentu muzycznego. Nagrania, zamieszczane przeważnie na stronie "B" singli (zwane versions) były z reguły mocno zmienione, pozbawione wokali i wzbogacone o efekty specjalne, takie jak echo, reverb i delay. Technika, stosowana przez Tubby'ego, doprowadziła do powstania i rozwoju nowego gatunku muzycznego – dubu. Tubby w latach 70. stał się jedną z najbardziej znanych postaci na Jamajce. Współpracował m.in. z Lee Perrym, Augustusem Pablo i Bunnym Lee. Tubby współpracował także z Ewartem Beckhartem (znanym jako U-Roy), twórcą toastingu, prekursorem rapu. W 1989 został zastrzelony nieopodal swojego domu w Kingston (przy parku Duhaney).
