"Father And Son" to tytuł jednej z najpiękniejszych piosenek Cata Stevensa. Jej tytuł i przekaz doskonale pasuje do nowej płyty genialnego szwedzkiego gitarzysty Ulfa Wakeniusa nagranej z także grającym na gitarze synem, Erickiem. Poza tytułowym utworem album wypełniły świetnie zaaranżowane na dwie gitary tematy z dorobku m.in. Ennio Morricone ("Once Upon A Time In America"), The Beatles ("Eleanor Rigby"), Weather Report ("Birdland") i duetu Simon & Garfunkel ("Scarborough Fair") oraz kilka nowych kompozycji Ulfa Wakeniusa. Płyta "Father And Son" to kolejna płyta w dyskografii gitarzysty mającego za sobą współpracę z takimi tuzami jazzu jak Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock i Pat Metheny, po doskonałym albumie "Logos" (2016) nagranym z mistrzem gitary flamenco, Gerardo Núnezem.Pełne oszałamiającej wirtuozerii autorskie utwory przeplatane są klimatycznymi balladami wybranymi ze światowego kanonu, a program spinają dwie odsłony słynnego tematu Joe Zawinula: "Birdland". Zawsze wyżej stawiałem Ulfa Wakeniusa potrafiącego wykreować swą gitarą magiczny, niemal intymny klimat, niż wygrywającego w zatrważającym tempie karabinu maszynowego dźwięki w odległych od siebie tonacjach. Także z tej płyty zdecydowanie częściej wybieram nagrania utrzymane w klimacie podobnym do nagrań z jego cudownego albumu "Momento Magico" (2014),Swego rodzaju ukłonem w stronę nieodżałowanego Paco De Lucii jest kompozycja Ulfa Wakeniusa "Paco's Delight", wyraźnie nawiązująca do stylistyki hiszpańskiego mistrza i wywołująca natychmiastowe skojarzenia z jego gitarowymi duetami z Alem Di Meola i Johnem McLaughlinem."Młodszy" Wakenius okazuje się też całkiem niezłym wokalistą interpretując piosenkę Cata Stevensa, jaka posłużyła za tytuł całego albumu, oraz dodany jako bonus bluesowy: "Help The Poor", pochodzący z repertuaru B.B.Kinga.Eric Wakenius pojawiał się okazjonalnie na płytach swego słynnego ojca już od roku 2008. Tym razem obaj stali się równoległymi twórcami całego albumu.
