Od 50 lat „Biały Album” zachwyca, inspiruje i podbija serca kolejnych pokoleń wielbicieli muzyki. „The Beatles” („White Album”) był pierwszym wydawnictwem we własnej wytwórni zespołu, Apple Records. Płyta z miejsca stała się bestsellerem. Krążek utrzymywał się na szczycie listy sprzedaży w Wielkiej Brytanii przez 22 tygodnie. „The White Album” było numerem jeden również w Stanach - 8 tygodni z 65 obecności na liście. W recenzji „Rolling Stone”, która ukazała się po premierze, współzałożyciel Jann Wenner napisał: To najlepszy album, który kiedykolwiek wydali, a tylko The Beatles mogli dokonać tej sztuki, by przebić samych siebie.
