Grupę założył i dowodzi nią słynny gitarzysta i wokalista Dire Straits - Mark Knopfler. Zespół gra muzykę z pogranicza rocka, country bluesa i amerykańskiej muzyki folkowej. Grupa nagrała co prawda tylko jedną płytę ale od czasu do czasu koncertuje w różnych składach a Mark Knopfler włączył część utworów do swojego solowego koncertowego repertuaru.Podstawowi członkowie zespołu oprócz Knopflera to: Guy Fletcher - klawisze, vocal, Steve Phillips - guitar,vocal, Brendan Croker - guitar, vocal, Paul Franklin - pedal steel guitar.
