Howard Shelley continues his appraisal of a composer who in his lifetime was classed with Mozart and Beethoven, and enjoyed international fame and admiration. Shelley is a master of the Classical–Romantic style and in his hands the music of Spohr, heard very little today, reveals a freshness and excitement which is utterly beguiling. Spohr’s Piano Sonata and Rondoletto are paired with works by George Onslow, Spohr’s exact contemporary. Both composers wrote very little piano music and this release comprises all their major works for the instrument. Again, music to charm and delight is rediscovered through Shelley’s expert performances.
Nowa wersja płyty – „Return To Forever (Tour Edition)”. Pierwszy z nich to występ podczas francuskiego Hellfest Festival, którego Scorpions byli headlinerami w czerwcu 2015. Drugi koncert został zarejestrowany w Barclays Center w Nowym Jorku, gdzie gościem specjalnym był 12-letni gitarzysta Brandon Niederauer, z którymi grupa wykonała utwór „No One Like You”. Scorpions wyjaśniają również, jak udaje im się łączyć nowe utwory takie jak „Going Out With A Bang”, „We Built This House” i „Rock’n’Roll Band” z ich ponadczasowymi, klasycznymi rockowymi numerami „Big City Nights”, „Blackout”, „Still Loving You” czy „Rock You Like a Hurricane”. Scorpions wciąż potrafią zaproponować nowinki, jeśli chodzi o elementy scenograficzne, świetlne, jak i dotyczące samego show. Going out with a Bang 2.
