"Nate" to jedenasty album studyjny czołowego polskiego przedstawiciela klimatycznego rocka szczecińskiej grupy Moonlight. Jest to jednocześnie pierwsza płyta studyjna tego wykonawcy od wydanego w 2006 roku krążka "Integrated In The System of Guilt". Muzyczny lider zespołu Daniel Potasz tak opowiada o albumie: "Płyta "Nate" powstawała od 2015 roku. Bardzo chciałem na niej zamieścić utwory, które w jakiś sposób są dla mnie ważne emocjonalnie, które powinny być moim zdaniem zaaranżowane inaczej, po prostu były tego warte. Są to "Kiedy myśli mi oddasz" czy "Dobranoc". Z resztą wątek "Meren re" ciągnie się za mną prawie od początku Moonlight, wiec czemu miałoby go tu nie być? Utwory takie jak: "Ciężar" czy "Zabić siebie" to produkcje z okresu mojej absencji w Moonlight i pewnie znalazłyby się w repertuarze po płycie "Candra". Dlatego chciałem, żeby się znalazły na "Nate", były taką "moją" kontynuacją tamtej drogi, której nie było. Są też utwory nowe, jak: "Roads", "Lili" czy "Sensitive". Ostatni z nich powstał praktycznie w "jednym podejściu", a wyszedł całkiem fajnie. "Off" to eksperyment z trip hopem, a jednocześnie chyba mój najbardziej radiowy kawałek. Trochę się namęczyłem z samplami tutaj. Ogólnie większość sampli do "Nate" powstawała od zera, poprzez godziny szukania, układania barw w warstwy, składania ich w syntezatorze. Jest ciekawie, inaczej, ale po "Nate" nie wiem dokąd pójdę. Marzy mi się płyta, gdzie utwory będą w różnych stylach, np. tango, walc, polonez, czy nawet bossanova, ale w naszym klimacie. Jest to wyzwanie, ale może je popełnię". Debiutancki album Moonlight "Kalpa Taru" (1996) otrzymał m.in. nominację w kategorii "debiut roku" w plebiscycie miesięcznika Tylko Rock, nominację w kategorii "płyta roku" w miesięczniku Machina oraz wyróżnienie dla wokalistki Mai Konarskiej przyznane przez czasopismo Brum. 13 stycznia 2001 roku grupa wystąpiła w Muzycznym Studio Trójki im. Agnieszki Osieckiej, koncert był transmitowany na antenie Programu Trzeciego Polskiego Radia oraz zarejestrowany na potrzeby pierwszego albumu koncertowego pt. "Koncert w Trójce 1991-2001", który ukazał się tego samego roku. Szósty album studyjny "Candra" (2002) otrzymał m.in. nominację do nagrody polskiego przemysłu fonograficznego Fryderyka w kategorii Album Roku – Heavy Metal.
