Alfred Brendel, der große Pianist feiert seinen 85. Geburtstag und als Hommage an diesen besonderen Künstler erscheinen erstmals seine gesammelten Mozart Solo-Aufnahmen in einer ELOQUENCE-Edition auf 7 CDs. Nicht nur seine Einspielungen der Klavierkonzerte von Mozart haben Referenzstatus erlangt, auch seine Interpretationen der Klaviersonaten und Fantasien gehören zum Besten was die Mozart-Diskographie zu bieten hat.Die Aufnahmen stammen dabei aus den Jahren 1975 bis 2008 und bieten so einen Überblick über die Entwicklung des Pianisten Brendel. Da er einige Sonaten mehrfach eingespielt hat bietet sich zudem die Möglichkeit eines interessanten Interpretationsvergleiches.Enthält die Klaviersonaten Nr. 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11 "Alla Turca", 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 , das Adagio in h-moll, Fantasie in c-moll K. 475, Duport Variationen K.573, Rondo in a-moll K.511 und weitere Werke. Die Sonaten 4,8 und 11 sind dabei gleich mehrfach vertreten.
