Najnowsza płyta Joszka Brody „Na Dunaj: Kolędy ze wschodu” to nowoczesna aranżacja i wykonanie ludowych kolęd „odkopanych” z nagrań archiwalnych z, m.in. lat pięćdziesiątych. Projekt ma na celu nie tylko ocalenie tych utworów, ale także stworzenie mody na polską muzykę etniczną. Na płycie znajdują się głównie utwory z regionu Lubelszczyzny. Charakteryzują się one niezwykłą nieparzystą rytmiką, spotykaną na przykład w Bułgarii i Rumunii oraz przepięknymi melodiami, które „pachną” Wschodem.Projekt z pewnością ma głębokie znaczenie społeczne jak i kulturalne. To powrót „do korzeni” i ratunek dla części naszego dziedzictwa narodowego. Na płycie obok nowoczesnych aranżacji kilkunastu kolęd znajdą się wykonania archiwalne, które ukazują jak piękną rzeczą jest czerpanie „ze źródła” i w zastawieniu z nowymi wykonaniami jaką to „źródło” jest inspiracją. Dzięki współpracy artystów i naukowców oraz zamieszczeniu w albumie utworów współczesnych obok archiwalnych jest on nowością na polskim rynku muzycznym i ma szansę stać się inspiracją dla innych artystów. Pomysłodawcą projektu jest Joszko Broda, który jest również producentem całego przedsięwzięcia. Alle drei Werke dieser Aufnahme (darunter die erst 2005 wiederentdeckte Huldigungsarie Alles mit Gott und nichts ohn' ihn BWV 1127 für Bachs Weimarer Dienstherrn Wilhelm Ernst von Sachsen-Weimar) untermauern den exzellenten Ruf der Sopranistin Dorothee Mields als eine der führenden Bach-Sängerinnen unserer Zeit. Mit dem L'Orfeo Barockorchester unter Michi Gaigg legt sie einmal mehr exemplarische Interpretationen dieser eher selten zu hörenden Solokantaten vor. Neben der frühen BWV 199 aus Bachs Weimarer Zeit hören wir eine weltliche Leipziger Kantate, die offenbar ohne überlieferten Anlass komponiert wurde.
