Zespół Shashamane powstał blisko 2 lata temu i chociaż jest młody stażem, to w swoim składzie zgromadził doświadczonych muzyków, których połączyła wspólna pasja jaką jest fascynacja jamajskimi brzmieniami, a zwłaszcza roots reggae i dub. Wśród tworzących formację znalazły się osoby współpracujące wcześniej z takimi grupami jak Bakshish, Duberman, Tabu, Lion Vibrations, Zgroza, Jahoo, Baobab, Natural Mystic, Ziggie Piggie, YO i wielu innymi, nie tylko związanymi ze środowiskiem reggae.  W swej krótkiej karierze Shashamane już zaprezentowało się podczas takich imprez jak m.in.: Winter Reggae w Gliwicach, Najcieplejsze Miejsce Na Ziemi w Wodzisławiu Śląskim, Rub’n’Dub Festiwal w Gliwicach, Reggae w Stodole w Kobiórze. Od ponad roku zespół był dopingowany do zaprezentowania studyjnej odsłony, w związku z tym powstał mini album pt. „Origin & Culcha”, który ukazał się za sprawą Wydawnictwa Zima Records.  Warto podkreślić, że w nagraniach wzięło także udział małżeństwo Magdalena i Adam Milwiw-Baron z grupy The Lions, którzy wparli Shashamane instrumentami dętymi, a nad miksem i masteringiem czuwał holenderski muzyk i producent Marc Baronner, który ma na swoim koncie współpracę z takimi artystami jak Brinsley Forde (ex-Aswad) czy Addis Pablo.
