Babsztyl to jeden z najwybitniekszych polskich zespołów country. Zadebiutował w 1977 roku w Gdańsku. Potem grupa była wielokrotnie nagradzana na przeglądach muzycznych, a w1985 roku wystąpili na Krajowym Festiwalu Piosenki Polskiej Opole'85, który przyniósł im ogólnopolską popularność. Z czasem muzyka Babsztyla ewoluowała od country, przez folk, poezję śpiewaną, aż do country rocka. Zespół dostał się do półfinału szóstej edycji programu Must Be The Music.
